Tylenol, The MIRACLE DRUG!?

The novel (new) coronavirus of Wuhan, China started in December 2019 and has expanded globally to parts of Europe, the U.S., Russia, all of China, and other parts of Eastern Asia. The virus has killed hundreds and infected thousands. The first death in the U.S. was just reported February 9th, 2020. What can cure this virus, you may ask? Well, according to the CDC, “Tylenol has a soothing effect which also soothes the virus, thus allowing the immune system to rid of it easier.” Now, you may be thinking, ‘Wouldn’t Aleve, Ibuprofen, Morphine, etc.’ These sound like they might, but they do not.

Tylenol treats cold & flu symptoms such as headaches, coughs, and soreness. Tylenol also lowers these infections in younger and older people, the most susceptible to die from the coronavirus. However, Advil and Aleve may treat the same thing, they use a much higher dosage per pill, thus making it impossible to take those while infected with the coronavirus. Although, pills can be cut in half, the essential ingredients are lost when this happens to cure the virus; therefore, Tylenol is the perfect candidate. With only ONE pill a day for a week you can be cured of this virus.

The worst thing about this though is probably the fact that the U.S. Government won’t tell the public they found a cure because they want to make money off your suffering to make this miracle drug over the counter with a different name such as, “Ceprecene” to trick you into thinking that this is some new drug that cures the coronavirus. This drug would go for about $100-175 due to supply & demand for a cure. This would also trick other governments into thinking that we found a cure and that they will have to pay us if they want to treat their citizens.

As a result, the novel (new) coronavirus of Wuhan, China has a cure, Tylenol, and it is being hidden by the greedy hands of the U.S. Government for their own personal gain.

Left or Right?

Political ideology is a certain set of ethical ideals, principles, doctrines, myths or symbols of a social movement, institution, class or large group that explains how society should work and offers some political and cultural blueprint for a certain social order. However, after taking quizzes from, allsides.com and politicalcompass.org, to determine where I fall on the political and social spectrum. There was no surprise in my mind that I was considered leaning left according to allsides.com and left libertarian according to political compass.org. My results place me on the spectrum closest to, Nicola Sturgeon and Nelson Mandela. They are both slightly left and libertarian people that think for others and not just themselves; this how I view myself as person and this doesn’t surprise me too much.

Next, the ideologies that are represented by the left are mostly in common with me, such as:

  • We should focus on the rights of the mother when it comes to abortion, and focus on preserving or expanding the ability to have an abortion
  • Gay marriages are no different in nature or intent than those of opposite-sex couples
  • We should celebrate and encourage an expanded view of the family structure/non-traditional families; children fare fine in many different family formations
  • Open and free expression of sexuality is a right and should be encouraged
  • We should de-emphasize distinctive gender characteristics as they are more often the result of socialization; we should emphasize the important potential for women and non-binary people to be in the same roles as men
  • Minority classes often suffer adversely due to beliefs, behaviors or practices, whether intentional or unintentional, that favor or uphold viewpoints or practices that create inequality in society
  • The government needs to change policy or create programs to ensure equal rights to all groups

These are all the same beliefs I have about these issues, however, my view on gender identification is more right-wing. This is because I believe that a person should identify as only male, female, or if they can biologically identify as both, then both.

As a result, I agree with these quizzes and believe that they almost always accurately describe a person’s social and economic beliefs.

Cheating in America’s Past-Time

Baseball is known to be America’s past-time, but the realism of the 1919 World Series, where the Cincinnati Reds bribed the Chicago Bay Sox to lose the world series, began a new era of dishonesty and lack of sternness on the league’s part. Yes, the sport has seen its ups and downs, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from playing the sport and loving it. Although, things seem so ‘peachy,’ the advancement of medicine has brought upon a new wave of illegal substances: Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs). I do not support the use of these and I also think if you cheat there should be no way to make it into the hall of fame. And if someone cheated more than once, they should be kicked out of the league, for good! However, one exception is Alex Rodriguez, who used PEDs and was suspended a whole season and could not be immortalized into the Baseball Hall of Fame until 2021. This is very interesting to think about because A-Rod was not expected as someone to cheat because he was shown working out and all, but one drug test can ruin a career. The league’s punishment probably wasn’t harsh enough and I think he should not be in the hall of fame for these actions.

Second, George Brett of the Kansas City Royals was up to bat and hit a beauty of a homerun that stunned the New York Yankees, their opponent, and gave the crowd a show. However, a couple of moments later and his bat was being looked at for accusation by the Yankees Manager for illegal use of pine tar. Brett would be caught with using the pine tar pass the legal length allowed and would throw the biggest fit ever. Now, the way they checked for this was questionable because they used the home plate to do this and the announcers of both teams seemed confused what was going on but knew that he probably violated the rules. This would lead to a suspension of a few games. This is a great punishment because it wasn’t league changing to where he kept a team from a title.

Finally, the Houston Astros in 2017-2019 were stealing signs and would have their GM and Coach fired. The details are still under investigation by the league though so I can’t say a whole lot, since it isn’t totally final at the time. However, these were not strict enough punishments because the players were involved and not punished, not to mention they won a World Series title in 2017 during this scandal’s beginning.

So, to say the least, cheating is not okay, and the fullest punishment is necessary no matter what. If this wasn’t the case children would never get anywhere in life and people that played the sport would ruin it since each team would either be really good or really, really bad. PEDs, other substances, illegal pine tar usage, and sign stealing, are all forms of cheating, but they just seem to be a part of the game now sadly.

In addition, as a baseball player and want to be MLB coach, I want to say that cheating is never okay and that the consequences are only part of the solution.
